Ralph was positive, energetic and constantly open to learning new ideas. We dedicate this scholarship to him not only because of the wonderful person he was, but to the way he learned. Ralph made us want to be better teachers as much as he wanted to be a better clown. Thank you, Ralph, for your inspiration! The auction money funds our scholarship at Moose Camp. It is a fun night for everyone and we are sure Ralph would approve.

Campers and staff are encouraged to donate to the fun. Bring something to the auction! New, clean, and used clown-related items are welcome, as are "A Bit of Home" baskets. What could you bring that would share the fun and tell the tale of where you live? Is there something special about your home-town or home-state? If you would like to donate an item or two, bring them with you to camp or ship them ahead of time. Have them clearly labeled with the following information: Camper Name; Item Description; and Item Value. You can ship the items to: Moose Camp Scholarship Auction, 57 Birch Avenue South, P. O. We've had all sort s of weird and valuable items auctioned off at Moose Camp, from animal puppets, to ugly hats, to clown collectibles, to authentic circus jumpsuits (pictured below: Mark Renfro, a former RBBB clown, autographs the jumpsuit.) And, as always, Joe Barney keeps us all laughing in his usual way of emceeing. You don't want to miss the crazy and wacky fun! And it's all for a good cause - sharing the wealth of clown knowledge to others!

To apply for the scholarship:

All applications must be completely filled out in ink, printed, typed, or emailed. Applications must be postmarked by February 1st to be considered for the upcoming year. The number of scholarship awards will be determined by the availability of funds from the previous year's auction. Winners will be notified by April 1st. A photo of yourself in clown make-up is required for us to consider your application. Very little importance is put on this picture, so be honest and don't stress over it. If you are a true beginner and have never put make-up on before, then let us know. Remember, the scholarship is for all levels of experience!
